Ecg
Electrocardiography is the process of producing an electrocardiogram which is a recording of the electrical activity of the heart. The test is conducted to ensure the heart is at its well-being.
Preparation:
- Nothing special is to be done before the Ecg test, you can normally eat and drink beforehand.
- Just avoid the use of oily or greasy skin creams or lotion on the day of the test.
- You need to remove your upper clothing because the electrodes need to be placed directly.
- Let your doctor know about the medications you are taking as well as allergies if you have any.
Duration:
The duration for the Ecg test is normally less than or equal to 0.40 seconds for males and 0.44 seconds for females.
